To all faculty, students, and staff,
Given the increasing importance of take-home rapid antigen testing as a method of quickly identifying and isolating the spread of COVID-19, Dartmouth is shifting to an approach that leverages take-home rapid antigen tests as our method for testing. With this change, take-home and in-person PCR testing will no longer be available through Dartmouth’s testing program after June 11 and in-person antigen testing will no longer be available after June 13.
Several COVID-19 testing resources will remain available to faculty, staff, and students:
Face masks and take-home rapid antigen tests continue to be available to faculty, staff, and students at pick-up locations across campus.
COVID-19 tests are also available through local testing resources listed on the state health department websites for New Hampshire and Vermont.
Please read below for details on testing availability through June 13:
May 25 through June 11
All testing locations are open regular hours.
In-person PCR testing and all pick-up and drop-off locations will be closed on May 30 due to the Memorial Day holiday and will resume regular hours on May 31.
June 11 is the last day for PCR testing.
June 12
In-person antigen testing for students experiencing symptoms is available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the Maynard parking lot (11 Rope Ferry Rd.). Employees who are experiencing symptoms should call Axiom at 833-408-1338.
June 13
In-person antigen testing for students experiencing symptoms is available 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the Maynard parking lot (11 Rope Ferry Rd.) Employees who are experiencing symptoms should call Axiom at 833-408-1338.
June 13 is the last day for in-person antigen testing.
We recognize that this change may cause anxiety for many in our community. Dartmouth leadership will continue to monitor for changes in COVID-19 trends and adjust policies accordingly. At this time, rapid antigen tests are the most effective method for controlling the spread of COVID-19 in our community and minimizing the risk of serious symptoms.
Please continue to be respectful of one another’s decisions and remember that while asymptomatic surveillance testing is not required, testing is an effective way to identify and limit the spread of the virus. If you are identified as a close contact or think you might have COVID-19 symptoms, you should complete a test, wear face mask, and limit close contact with others.
For instruction on testing, isolation, or quarantine, students should contact Dartmouth College Health Services and employees should contact Axiom Medical at 833-408-1338.
