June 1, 2023
Dear faculty and staff,
On June 30, Dartmouth’s partnership with Axiom Medical will end and employees will no longer be required to report their positive COVID-19 test results; however, Dartmouth recommends that employees continue to follow COVID-19 guidance provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which currently includes:
If you are sick or have COVID-19 symptoms, test immediately and wear a mask until you feel better.
If you test positive for COVID-19, isolate for at least five days and wear a mask for at least 10 days.
If you were exposed to COVID-19, wear a mask for at least 10 days and test on Day 6.
As part of this change, COVID-19 paid time for employee absences will also end on June 30. For a list of options available for taking time away from work, please see Dartmouth’s Employee time away from work: Policies and supporting information.
Employees who test positive or are exposed to COVID-19 between now and June 30 should continue to contact Axiom Medical, and Axiom’s advice will be in line with CDC guidance. Starting July 1, employees should follow CDC guidance and contact their health-care provider with questions about their health. Employees who don’t have an established health-care provider can use the links below to find care.

Dartmouth will continue to provide face masks and take-home antigen tests at pick-up locations around campus and expects to offer COVID-19 vaccine clinics on campus at the start of each undergraduate term throughout the next academic year. In addition, students, faculty, and staff can continue to take advantage of long-COVID resources available at Dartmouth.
We know some may welcome this news and others may feel some anxiety. In line with a recent statement released by the World Health Organization, Dartmouth continues to consider COVID-19 an ongoing health issue and will work to provide support and resources and integrate COVID-19 prevention and general care into our day-to-day lives. If you have concerns related to your workplace or the benefits available to you please contact the Office of Human Resources. If you have more general questions about COVID-19 at Dartmouth please email covid-19.info@dartmouth.edu.
Thank you,
Dave and Rick
