To the Dartmouth community,

Like many of you, we are hopeful and excited about the ongoing rollout of COVID-19 vaccines across the country. We have received a number of messages regarding the availability and distribution of vaccines here in the Upper Valley, and we wanted to update everyone on what we know at this point.

Vaccination for COVID-19 in New Hampshire is managed through the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, which determines priorities for vaccination and the distribution of vaccines. For information on New Hampshire's vaccine rollout and updates about local vaccination efforts, please review the most recent information from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (https://www.dhhs.nh.gov/) and their Vaccine Phase Check tool (https://www.vaccines.nh.gov/). Students and employees who are residents of Vermont can find information about the Vermont vaccine rollout plan at https://www.healthvermont.gov/covid-19/vaccine/about-covid-19-vaccines-vermont.

For those students, faculty, and staff who have not already received a vaccine, Dartmouth is eager to support opportunities to be vaccinated as soon as possible. We are actively tracking vaccine developments and preparing to help distribute and administer vaccines if and when we are asked or permitted to do so. As we learn more in the coming weeks, we will share updates through our Community Conversations webcast (https://news.dartmouth.edu/community-conversations), community emails, and social media.

We want to remind everyone that even if you have had COVID-19 or have completed the vaccination process, you should continue to maintain precautions such as wearing face coverings, handwashing, physical distancing, and avoiding travel and gatherings. In accordance with state and federal guidance, anyone who is within 90 days of a COVID-19 infection diagnosed by PCR or antigen testing is exempt from surveillance testing. A surveillance testing resumption date will be confirmed for students by Dartmouth Health Service and for employees by Axiom Medical.

Stay safe and be well.

Sincerely,

Dr. Lisa V Adams
