Jan. 10, 2022
Dear undergraduates,
As of dinnertime today, the following spaces will be open for sit-down dining:
Collis Café
Novack Café
Courtyard Café
Top floor of Class of 1953 Commons (Note: the main floor will remain open for grab-and-go only)
Dining services will remain “grab-and-go” style, but students may bring their food to these areas to eat. Students who are isolating or quarantining should not use these areas and should continue to eat in private spaces.
Given the transmissibility of the omicron variant, wearing a face covering remains a critical part of Dartmouth’s approach to limit the spread of COVID-19 in our community. By opening these dining spaces, we ask that you take care to wear your face mask in other buildings on campus and limit eating and drinking in other indoor public spaces.
In order to keep as many spaces open as possible, we ask that all community members take the following precautions when using dining spaces:
Limit group size when seated at dining tables
Limit the amount of time spent in dining areas
Where possible, maintain distance from others, particularly while unmasked
Diligently wear your face mask while standing in line, picking up food, and while you are near dining staff
We thank you for your commitment to protecting the health and safety of the Dartmouth community.
Sincerely,
The COVID-19 Response Team
