To the Dartmouth community,

We are experiencing an increase in COVID-19 transmission among students and tomorrow's dashboard will show at least 22 active cases; this number may grow overnight.

For health and safety reasons, we will shift all dining options to "grab-and-go" as of dinner tonight. This includes '53 Commons and Tuck dining. The shift will continue through at least Sunday.

We are looking into possible sources of the increased transmission. The students who have tested positive are in isolation on campus, resting comfortably, and receiving medical attention. Individuals who have been identified as contacts are quarantining as required.

Outdoor activities, such as ice skating, walking, and skiing, are still permitted. We want to stress that it is more important than ever that everyone continues to wear appropriate face coverings and maintain physical distancing of at least 6 feet.

As a reminder, please contact Dick's House, Axiom Medical, or your primary care provider if you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19. We appreciate your flexibility as we continue to look out for one another and maintain the health and well-being of our community.

Sincerely,

Lisa V. Adams
